I have started to get an error code that states: -

Firefox.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log has been created.

Anybody know what this means? 😕

Thanks in anticipation.

Yes. M$ are currently spying on you and have determined that you're not using IE. So they've transferred a piece of code onto your machine which stops FF from working properly. Their hope is that you'll blame FF and go back to IE.

Is that so hard to believe?

Nope. Especially considering that I was redirected to a MS page for an update the other day. Can't seem to find a solution on the Internet though. 🙁

Just close FF.

Open it again. If it gives you an error then restart your computer

Easy. Just a problem that happened by unluck that caused FF to crash

The same event is probably causing it each time.

List your extensions, greasemonkey scripts and when it occurs. I've found that using Noscript extension and opening a page which shows a video using javascript crashes FF. This isn't really a problem for me, as I have the Crash Recovery extension installed, which reloads my session.

No error code. Just the above message in a message box.

Cheers. How do I know which extensions and greasemonkey scripts I am using though?

One of the best ways to diagnose a more serious FF problem is to create a new profile. If you still have the problem later on, read up on how to do this.

You find them under... er... whatever that menu right of the Favourites and left of the Help menu may be called in English.
