hmm. what does a whiff smell like? other 'stuff that smells bad' that comes to mind might

include: lousy seating at a professional sporting or entertainment event; broken promises;

breaches of trust; raw deals; rotting fish and shellfish also all stink to high heaven, imho.

liverwurst isn't necessarily fragrant but is nice with a slice of raw onion

and coarse ground black pepper on party rye... with a frosty cold beer.

I've worked on a chicken farm.
A lot of that smell is kept contained because it is in a barn.
So it makes it seem stronger smelling when you are there, or near it.
If cat poop were contained like that, then it would be far worse.

so did i work on a chicken farm, which raised ri reds, during my sophmore year in

high school. stench reeks of an 'ammonia suffocation' cocktail. it ain't for sissies.
