Hi all. I have been given a computer case with main board and AMD dual core 64 bit processor in it. Wahoot. Now what I want to know is, can I run Windows and other 32 applications on this without any problems or do I need to spend fat stacks of cash on a 64 OS and applicationzzzzz?
Thanks in anticipation for your amazing advice.

My gut feeling is the latter but, as I'm sure you're aware what with these tough times, I may have to sell my kids.
Depends. Did it come with rabbit ears? If not, you might have to purchase a three-stage flux inverter and IMO, even on ebay, they're not worth the money. 🙂

As I said, it's a little pricey, but if you're willing to sell the kids, you should be able to cover it easily enough. One trick that I've had luck with is to run the kids through the field right after you turn the unit on. You have to do it during the first thirty seconds or they warp. Always send them through north to south. If the kid's the right blood type, you can get a quantum clone out the other side about twenty-five percent of the time. If you're quick about it, you sell the quantum clone of the kid before he destabilizes and keep the original. Let the buyer beware. 😉
Originally posted by jimslyp69My pleasure. I started out building with AMD's then went to Intel and now I'm in the process of going back to AMD. I'd recommend whatever motherboard you got, go to their website and download latest drivers for the OS you want to run and latest BIOS, too. Save yourself some possible worries that way.
Well I expected the flaming but not a serious answer. Many thanks Monsieur Chat and thank you to the rest for teh lulz 🙂
All the best,
Steve

Originally posted by sbacatI almost made an offer but on closer examination noted the Flux Vector was Sensorless and that just won't do especially as one of my kids (daughter) is blond. As we live in the southwest of eastern Canada any running north south is out of the question, considering they'd end up running into one of the Great Lakes and neither of them swim...well that's not quite right they do but to my dismay and their possible death it's more like sinking. The quantam clone thingy is also out of the equation as they both have blood "issues" and I, as their father, don't like the odds. Not that I'm generally a gambler mind you but those numbers are, to truthful, just too tight. But hey thanks for the tip.

Originally posted by Great Big SteesHave you tried fluxvectors.com ? They have a good selection of both new and slightly used models. Some are 'north/south' friendly also (NAFTA) and the prices are quite fair. Don't forget to ask about their rebate program.

Embarrassing situations like this could be avoided if you had demonstrated correct parenting, plus you would be owning a (an) FVM-25364 v.2 by now.
Would you like me to go back and rectumfy the situation for you?
Originally posted by Great Big SteesI understand completely. It's one thing to commit to selling the kids (make sure you're dealing with a reputable white slaver and not just one of those guys in the phonebook) and it's quite another to put them at risk of warpage, drowning, and quantum destablization. Not for the timid, to be sure, and the wife would need some serious jewelry to get over all but the mildest of mishaps. 😛

If what you're really looking for is a transdimensional adventure, there's a technique with which I've had some limited success. It involves a certain wild mushroom that should be available in your area through mid-August, a dry cleaning bag, and a disposable helium tank. Just make sure your affairs are in order before setting sail as the margins for error are rather tight on that as well.

Hah! Classic!!! By the way, I have an old Kelvinator refrigerator, is it possible that I might modify it to smash atoms? Jus' axin...

Line the inside of the Kelvinator with sheets of these:

Make sure the joins are good and tight or else you'll be flooding the house with loose particles and that just makes one hell of a mess in oh so many ways.
The toughest ingredient is going to be fissionable materials. You used to be able to order that stuff from link removed out of the former Soviet Union, but now your best bet would be getting something smuggled out of North Korea. I paid $250 for a decigram of U-235 a year ago, but you have to watch them because their quality control is just all over the place. And if you buy with a credit card, watch for weird charges over the next six months or so. Damn commies anyway!
Good luck and for goodness sakes, be careful!
