suicidal is a teleological concept. moths aren't suicidal. they happen to die because of new technology that wasn't around until recently.
honeybees die when they sting. that isn't suicide. they die because their death protects the hive.
the more interesting phenomena are the "rescue" behaviors of bugs. Good old fashion ants are blind, but when one is drowning, they form a chain into the water and rescue the one in distress.
this behavior can be found all through the animal world. suicidal behaviors - not so much - as that would lead to survival of the species.
