Every bloody day, since I've returned to Holland it's been raining. On and off, I'll give you that, but I haven't seen one ray of sun since Thursday and it's starting to piss me off.
Now, don't get me wrong. I love rain as much as the next guy, probably even more.
In fact, I'm the sort of person who loves standing naked in a field as it pours down shouting: "I AM GOD. I AM GOD."
So, I have an intimate relationship with rain.
In fact, I lived in Scotland for 11 years and we had 4000 days of rain during my stay. We didn't call it rain in Scotland, we were like Eskimos talking about snow, we had different terms for different sorts of rain:
"It's cats and dogs."
"It's pissing it down."
"Your turn to do the garbage."
I was in Seville during the warmest month in Spain a few weeks ago. For 4 days. Seville has 300+ sunny days a year...and one of our days...it rained.
And see, this didn't bother me. I like irony. I enjoy little things happening to me like that.
But now it's been raining for 6 days. Non stop. It's like bloody Bombay here. Well, except there's no cars floating down the streets or so.
My lovely sun tan is washing off. So much so that I'm starting to wonder if it really was a sun tan or if I just wasn't pure and simply filthy. How long is a sun tan supposed to last? Why do I look like I've got liver problems?
Sun tans are not good.
I heard, this evening, that you can have a sun tan sprayed on. What's that all about then?
Sounds good to me. Then I don't have to lie in the sun baking like a burger on a BBQ for hours on end, boring myself to tears.
Anyways...rain. It sucks. I want sun.

And do you know what annoys the living bananas insides of me? That;
1, Sun shines somewhere else, where people get tanned
2, Sun evaporates the waters
3, Water vapour gets carried to our lands forming clouds
4, Couds hide our sun away
5, Rain never stops.
So not only some people are having fun in the sun, they are also having fun that we are getting soaked wet by their piss in the sea..

Here we have no culture but warming nicely into spring and then summer. 22 deg C and clear blue skies. This is in Johannesburg which will stay dry and clear until about November. In Cape Town, I hear it's chucking down, cold and wet. That's only because it's not blowing.
