The song they played at the end of The Red Skelton Show is Holiday for Strings composed by Red Skelton. David Rose got the credit however. The dining room in the restaurant I used to work at had a collection of clown paintings painted by Red Skelton.
I've been reviewing my recent posting history in advance of a mass post deletion 😉 and it was good to see this again. So cool to learn that he was also a composer. A bio for me to look up.

Another slow Sunday 😴

Thank you for posting that. Red Skelton had the right idea. I remember his show and especially his hobo sketches from when I was a kid.
Don't forget Danny Kaye, he and Red Skeleton had very successful TV shows in the early 60's that were funny and wholesome.
Remember this?

Perry Como, Jimmy Dean had good shows also. Jim Henson did Rowlf on The Jimmy Dean Show.
