i bought a new album today-jimi hendrix, "sunshine of your love". and it's...emm...curious. i did a search for it on the internet, and couldn't find anything on it. i got it for 99p our of the post office...

i think (although i haven;t listened to it all) the albums instrumental-there are no words...the playlist is,

Red House
Woke Up This Morning And Found Myself Dead
Bleeding Heart
Morrison's Lement
Tomorrow Never Comes
Uranus Rock
Outside Woman Blues
Sunshine Of Your Love

and yes, sunshine of your love is cream's classic, just done by jimi. can anyone shed any more light on this album?

Hendrix had recorded so much material before his death that an album of new material can be released every year for the next century (or something like that). Seriously, there are still hundreds of unreleased recordings that will be released over the next many, many years.

Hope that helps.

I have two live versions of this by Hendrix.

It is the Hendrix bootleg with Jim Morrison singing on one of the songs. Morrison is drunker then Bacchulus and mumbling nonsense.
Ive heard that album quite a few times at a friends house years ago.

i've got a copy of that back in Australia - don't listen to it much, there's much better live Hendrix around...
EDIT: hang on, the one i have isn't instrumental, but the playlist is the same

your right-it's not instrumental. i'd only listened to part of red house, relised that it had no lyrics so skipped around that tune a bit and there were still no lyrics. then i listened to sunshine of your love, and there were no lyrics to that. so i kinda presumed...but, alas, red house does have lyrics, just not that many (also, it sounded rather different from the studio version) and sunshine of your love doesn't.

but hey-for 99p i'm not really complaining...

Sounds like a bootleg, there are a lot of them about and most of them are pretty crappy quality.

yup-just like the old AC/DC singer (Bon Scott). drank too much and...yeah...

AC/DC's next album after his death was the legendary "back in black". the 3rd last song was a tribute to Bon Scott, entitled "have a drink on me".

now that would be legendary! in a mildly morbid sense...

the "hell on earth" (some random death metal band. singer's a good skateboarder...) bassist (i think it was the bassist anyway) was suffering from a termanal illness. so he decided that he was gonna pop his clogs on stage, and have it aired over the internet. emm-the police stopped him...

a rumour that refuses to die has it that it wasn't actually his own vomit
