"Not necessarily, not everyone with enough talent has been given
enough opportunities earlier."
Talented people will get through - f they want it bad enough then
they and their talent will make it.
If you are talented at something and you have the correct make up
to make a living out of that talent then you will do it.
Every musician on here will tell you of a guy they know who is brilliant
in a studio but cannot play live in front of an audience.
It's a sin and a shame but it happens.
Talented people who say they have not had the breaks are using that
excuse because they either don't want the break or fear failure.
Talent will out.
Child actors go off the rails when they are no longer cute kids simply
because they cannot act. It must be crap being a has-been at 21.

Yes I do believe that every talented person has the same opportunities.
Name me one talented person who has not had the chance
to display their talent. No hyperthetical cases. I want a name.
I think it's a valid argument given the previous statement.

I want the name of one talented person who has not been given
a chance to display their talent due to class, race, religion, sex,
national origin, physical appearance, or personal connections.
I can name dozens whose talent has overcome class, race, religion, sex,
national origin, physical appearance, or personal connections.
As I keep saying 'Talent Will Out.' irrespective of class, race,
religion, sex, national origin, physical appearance, or personal connections.
So saying that BGT and programs of that ilk are the only chance
talented people have to 'make it.' is plain wrong.
Judging by what I have seen, BGT is an outlet for people with mediocre
talent and is soley designed to give the feeble minded Saturday night
viewer a laugh, a gasp of disbelief and make a quick buck.

Originally posted by GatecrasherAs far as I can tell, BGT is a great big steaming turd, which not only showcases nothing of cultural value, but actually revels in its pandering to the cult of celebrity. Fat cat TV bosses are laughing all the way to the bank whilst I have to endure seeing it everywhere I go and some poor woman who lacks the ability to cope with celebrity ends up in the loony bin. Yay! The only talent Britain seems to have at the moment is for producing crap and mediocrity.
