I'm about to leave Sydney, a place that I know well. I have to say that it has somewhat gone to the dogs in the past few years.

I was also surprised by the number of tramps and winos about the place.

What's happened since 2000?

I'm sure STANG would be quite surprised to hear this tidbit of news. He seems to think the US is the only country with cities going to the "dogs" and winos ruling the streets. Please share this news with him...thanks 😉

Sydney told me today that he was glad that you are leaving.
You've done nothing but whine since you met him.

The place has improved greatly since all those vomitting poms frequenting pubs down by the Quay went home!

It's because "shrub" (John Howard - Little Bush) is in charge in Oz.

I visited Australia in Sept. 2001, and spent a week of my vacation in Sydney. I thought it was a wonderful city. Although I did have a rat run across my foot in the park that has the Anzac Memorial (don't remember the name of the park).

I would love to get my hands on a couple of good meat pasties.

I personally think this is the reason for it's downfall.
