I was up there, but couldn't see anything through the mist. No epiphany for me, then...

What? Table Mountain is crap - I've been up there twice and both times I almost fell over the edge because it's misty, slippery and cold. Plus it's now an "International tourist attraction", so it's bloody expensive.

Rather lie on Blouberg Strand and admire it - it's much better.

No, climbing is free. You have to pay to ride in the cable-car -- worth the money if, like Crowley, you're not fit enough to reach the top and, unlike Crowley, you have the brains to avoid going up on misty days.

There are a few really gorgeous hiking trails and you have a few routes to choose from depending on your fitness level.

The pipes and Plattekloof are the only two I know -- both great.

I'm planning on doing the Hoerikwagga thing once all the segments are ready.

More power to you, don't know if I'd survive a six day hike. Not too big on camping.

I've been in Cape Town twice, both times for only two days and as I said, both times had absolutely miserable weather.

So, at the moment CT is listed next to London on my Crap Places With Even Crappier Weather scale...
