For what it's worth to anyone, GB and I were playing a gentlemanly game after a less-than-positive forum exchange, when I hang a piece in the late opening after a long hot day at work.

He immediately offers me a draw, and mentions his pending sabbatical.

I am absolutely certain his technique was equal to the task of converting the game, so I (for one) am absolutely taking his post at face value. And a little grateful, in a " Oh $#%^&, I just dropped a piece" sort of way!
