i taught my sons chess by starting them with an allowance of removing any 5 pieces. at the start of a match. When they acheived a win, the next game they were allowed to remove only 4 pieces of their choice. this continued until we were playing even. I would like to teach my grandchildren using the same method except doing it on line for reasons of distance. However, I cannot find a way to remove specific pies at the start of a game. Does anyone know of a way that this can be done.?

New Game, set up your own board (it's down on the left near the bottom), use right-click to remove any pieces you like, then "start from this board". The game will appear in your MyGames list with a symbol indicating a set-piece game, and will be unrated.
