I admit to watching remorsefully for a few years, because I made a modest salary playing while I was in college. That was before 'Rounders', before it was cool, when you actually had to play, and it wasn't a crap-shoot with any two cards. I played seven-card stud, not hold 'em that much, because there was more information available to me. Besides, th ...[text shortened]... to spend time around were just too much for me.
And yes - televised poker now sucks.

Seven-card stud is a man's game. It's always been my favourite as well. I started playing poker when I was a kid but never for money until I went to University where I would routinely clean out my friends for weed money. We used to play draw, stud, hold 'em, omaha, all kinds of games. Now when people get together to play poker in a friendly environment, ing on TV. And no one wants to be bothered learning new games. I can't stand it anymore.
