Maggie kicks ass. Also, there is nothing wrong with wanting a
government job. The pensions are good!

Woohoo! I've found someone else. What is it, Russ, that makes you
want to be a postman? I've always had this thing where I want to
become a postman in a village somewhere.

I think (for me anyway) it's something to do with the chance to
provide an undervalued service to a small, close-knit community (hey,
I'm still only a sheltered 22 year old, I'm allowed to be naive).

Just think, you'd be delivering letters to parents from children long
since grown up now living overseas, delivering birthday cards for little
Jimmy's 6th birthday, delivering love letters from army man Steve in
an unspecified location to his beautiful girlfriend, awaiting his return
when the fighting is over.

Someone slap me before this post gets out of hand.... ;o)

So Russ, what is it for you about being a postman? (And if you say
that it's the chance to call at the houses of all those bored, lonely,
housewifes you do realise you'll shatter all my naive sensibilities ;o) )

Hey Mark, have you seen the Italian movie 'El Postimo?' If not, you
might like it. I thought it was a great movie. Your post made me
think of it because the main character is a postman in a little village.
Then he becomes a communist and dies. I hope it turns out better
for you!

I like all the flavours I've tried except chocolate and strawberry. I know I've picked the right

Name one (or more) of your heroes: I don't really have heroes, so I'll say Douglas Adams,

Dr Strangelove, any Monty Python film, American Beauty, Gladiator

Orange juice; smooth or with bits?: Not fussed, though probably better with bits. I heard

drink plenty of fruit juice.

Trinity as in OXford? My sister is as Christchurch, you may know her
(she's the social friendly type) - Fleur Ashton, 5 foot 10, athletic, good
looking (or so my friends tell me) longblond hair & the nicest person
ever (or so I think)

I'm at the Trinity that Isaac Newton went to, for what it's worth. Though strangely enough, I
do know someone at Trinity College, Oxford from my old school, called Alec Hodgson. He
might know your sister.

Oh PK :o(

And I thought you had such good taste what with getting it on with that
Scottish lass. How come you liked Nigel Mansell so much?

Senna was a big hero of mine. I remember to this day the feeling I
had when he died in the crash. He really was an incredible driver; he
made the track seem dry whilst everyone would trundle through the
puddles.

Mansell could and should have had 3 world titles and possibly even a
4th. This period was the hay day of modern racing with Prost, Senna,
Mansell, Piquet et al. Awesome stuff.... if he hadnt of run out of gas
and then has a blow out two years running ... he would have had a
hatrick of wins ....

.... and do you remember the greatest ever overtaking manoever
ever ?? When he went one way to feign and then the other to
overtake .... who was it, oh yeah Senna

Senna was pure natural talent, the last truely great racing driver, I
remember seeing him taking his car round the tight Monaco turns on
3 wheels for most of the lap when he already had pole position by a
mile, thinking "thats just not right". The man died doing what he was
born to do - lead Grand Prix. But that said for all of Senna's talent, all
of Prost's calculated driving, for all of Piquets cynisism one thing
Mansell had was balls - and he showed if you put them on the line you
can make the grade. True he moaned all the time, the world was
always against him in some way, his team mate doing the dirty, he
could throw away wins in the stupidist of ways - Monaco '84 or
Canada '91 spring to mind, for every screw up there was a result born
out of sheer determination - having a career at all after breaking his
neck in 1980, Hungary '89, that move on Senna round the back of
Johanson, Siverstone '88, in the wet in an underpowered car catching
and passing Berger for 2nd, dicing down the straight wheel to wheel
with senna in Spain. He should have won at least 2 world titles,
probably 3, and was without doubt the best driver in 1990.

Well Said Andy - I quite agree with you. Yes Senna, Fangio,
Schumacher and many others except Michaelli Albereto may have had
more talent ... but Mansell was a legend - Dull as **** but a legend
when you stuck him in a williams.

PS was that not the best coloured F1 car of all time, the late 80's
Williams Awesome... you can stick your scarlet ferrai, black lolas, or
even your yella jordons.... that F1 80's williams was the bees.
