Seems odd that no US city is "cited". The hoods, gangstas, low-lifes and hustlers might get you to keep your wallet only after taking its contents!

American cities are the BEST for pickpockets, so wouldn't show up in a list of worst cities for pickpockets.

For what I've seen and heard, and at least in Europe, the absolute
masters of pickpocketing come from Algeria.

That makes Paris the place where most likely you'll get your wallet
taken. If you are too slow, you could also end up pregnant without
noticing.

Its scary for gangs of women to "sell you maps" in Barcelona only to pinch your wallet as well.

Surely Barcelona is one of the best cities for pickpockets. On the contrary, I'd imagine pickpockets would find Singapore heavy going. Perhaps worst of all would be Pyongyang.

Here in some cities we have signs that read: "HIJACKING HOTSPOT" and it also begs the question if it's there to safeguard motorists or if it's a government incentive program telling the lowlifes to just wait, the cars will come...

Didn't have any problems in Hanoi when I was there last year. Friendly people and a very safe city. Loved it.
