Comparing Skynard to the Allman Bros is like comparing The Partidge Family to The Beatles. Sure, you have the right to say that The Partridge Family was better, but any rational music fan, or at least someone has some sense of musical taste, wouldn't acknowledge the comparison.

In technique, improviational quality, and songwriting sophistication, Skynard comes up short on all fronts in this comparison.
