@yo-its-me saidnah I am on my 4th house at the moment plus a buy to let never had a chain break or mortgage problems.
It's so much more straight forward in Scotland.
We've just had our offer accepted on a house. For the third time we start the long journey of fees, anxiety and stress wondering if the sale will end with contracts signed or not.
Anyone else had this with the housing in England?
@badradger saidReally? Lucky you.

@badradger saidI don't really know, maybe it is. All the houses we've been to have had lot of other viewings booked. The one we've had accepted this time we're paying £5k over asking, but the agent said they were expecting £10 over asking. I find that really backwards! Why not say what you're hoping for. Apparently it was on advice to get more viewings.

The two we were buying before are both sold completed. We've been at this for a year now.

@yo-its-me saidoh yes they were both fed up they lost the first house because their buyer dropped out, the one they ended up with the owners were dragging their heels about a moving date dragging it out while they waited for their new build to be ready,obviouly michael was getting hassled by his buyers to move out.they lost a lot in survey fees and estate agency costs.
