Anyone have any thoughts about the lack of quality umpiring in the Ashes series? Anyone else think it is quite lopsided? Or am i just a sore loser?
Secondly Bucknor is blind but thats the ICC's problem.
Finally I guess your biggest gripe is that tv has showed inside edges onto pads of Aussie batsmen for lbw's. If the batsmen middled it wouldn't be a problem.
Your batters need to concentrate and you need to stop whinging!
Personally I believe there should be no 3rd umpire, and the outcome of all appeals should be down to the judgment of the umpire.
Yes, a few incorrect decisions may be made, but all adds to the fun of the game.
At present the third umpire is responsible for run outs, and determining a 4/6.
The technology is there to decide evrything by tv replay within seconds so I think use it all and do away with umpires full stop, or perhaps give the umpire his FULL job back.

I can't wait for the day when there's not even an umpire on the field. Why do the cricket administrators persist with this course where human error is rife?
We can easily implemet a system where better quality cameras are installed at all the crucial points around the field. I want just one umpire on the field who is there solely to filter the genuine appeals from ones that are hopefull shouts.
Everything can be done with technology today.
We can quickly check if every ball is a legitimate delivery by checking the height and the bowlers' foot.
We have super slow-motion cameras and the 'snick-o-meter' that can be used to check for catch dismissals and they can also be used in LBW decisions.
For LBW, we can use the 'pitch map' to check where the ball pitched and even something similar to the friggin 'hawk-eye' system can be developed further to help make a LBW decision.
Take away the human error and all the whining will stop.
In today's professional game, one decision can make such a big impact on salaries etc. that we can't afford to have umpires like Stevie 'Wonder' out on the pitch.

Even when we are playing shite you still cant manage to beat us by any sort of significant margin at home. I just wonder what would of happened if the umpiring was consistent. By the way, 12th man should come on when a player is injured, not when the bowlers feels like he needs a kip. Next you'll be pulling a Ranatunga on us whenever your batsmen feel a little tired.
Sounds like biased viewing from your point of view. Poor Bell has been given out caught twice when the ball went nowhere near his bat, and Pietersen too. So, the bad decisions balance out.
Bucknor is a blind fool who should be retired, though.
