Beatles? Favorite?

C'mon. The Stones, Floyd, The Who, ... all part of the British invasion and made music with more lasting appeal. Had I been a twelve year old girl in 1964, my views might be different, but I wasn't.

If Dylan's "Fourth Time Around" was inspired by the Beatles (Lennon thought so), then it would be my favorite "Beatles song".
But this thread is about the Beatles. Did you not read the openning? Hint... The blue letters. Da

Seriously, the only good thing they did was this...

I disagree with you words but I loved the sight you posted. I was one of those kids who's dad chased me away from his TV. Only to go upstairs to watch on Grandma's TV. I was 7 years old, and thats how I was introduced to music. What a treat!

Yes that is so true. For me it is picking which album but even that ends up being complicated. i am constantly being awakened/turned about to find out how much soul John put into the Beatles music, how the lyrics entice -without fail, tell a story and move you, and make you feel good at the same time.

Oh yes i forgot about the Who. They deserve their own category, and i really don't have anything against Pink Floyd i hope that's clear.

I was 13 when I bought my first L.P it was the first Beatles L.P.
I'm playing it now as I type this - Still brilliant.

Ask Me Why - Lennon's voice on that song is so gripping.
"My Happiness still makes me cry"....listen to the emotion.

Have all the Beatles and it's really the only stuff I play.

Best Stones stuff was their early blues covers on ...[text shortened]... with Jones on slide guitar - a classic.

Nice post - Strawberry Fields forever....

Ringo can't buy respect, I see. Seriously, when you can't list the extant members it lends you absolutely zero credibility.

To be really honest, I am the Westerner who knows less about the Beatles.

I agree In My Life is the greatest Beatles song of all time. But I like virtually every single one of their songs so it is still hard to choose. Some get more annoying than others at time and the first one which comes to mind is Yellow Submarine but it's still a great song.
