Beatles? Favorite?
C'mon. The Stones, Floyd, The Who, ... all part of the British invasion and made music with more lasting appeal. Had I been a twelve year old girl in 1964, my views might be different, but I wasn't.
If Dylan's "Fourth Time Around" was inspired by the Beatles (Lennon thought so), then it would be my favorite "Beatles song".

The best thing the Beatles did was to die... well, Paul is still here, but just give him some time.
Seriously, the only good thing they did was this...

For me it is picking which album but even that ends up being complicated. i am constantly being awakened/turned about to find out how much soul John put into the Beatles music, how the lyrics entice -without fail, tell a story and move you, and make you feel good at the same time.
I chose " In My Life" s our class grad. song, Thier are so many great songs
Oh yes i forgot about the Who. They deserve their own category, and i really don't have anything against Pink Floyd i hope that's clear.

I was 13 when I bought my first L.P it was the first Beatles L.P.
I'm playing it now as I type this - Still brilliant.
Ask Me Why - Lennon's voice on that song is so gripping.
"My Happiness still makes me cry"....listen to the emotion.
Have all the Beatles and it's really the only stuff I play.
Best Stones stuff was their early blues covers on ...[text shortened]... with Jones on slide guitar - a classic.
Nice post - Strawberry Fields forever....

the end to end version of in my life. Octopus's garden also hits me in the right spot.
