Great day at the pool. Beautiful people, lively conversation and loads of laughs. Top it all off, Dave and I took two young

bucks, Josh and Jesse, two out of three in ping pong doubles... and an elaborate cook out planned for later this evening.
I never had a knack for ping pong or it's larger counter part.

Best cookout so far this summer. Dozen fun loving, rowdy guys and gals... the banter never quit. Two, an Army Ranger

and Marine, told of their tours in Iraq in a way the news never could or would. Food and Land Shark beer (FL) first class.

One one liner lit another all evening long. Jesse (no-nonsense, rough and tumble 6' 5" maverick with a few interesting upper arm tattoos in Latin, now an unlikely professor of history, earning his doctorate) got to reminiscing about his bartending days during grad school. Seems sob story guys would come in, sit down, order, then invariably lean forward and say, "Gotta tell ya the honest truth about my wife and home situation... " Jesse, "Pal, forget honest. We're busy. Just tell me a quick lie." lol

One of them vertically on his right tricep... familia

Edit:

He has one older brother and three younger sisters and, apparently, has become

the protective glue of their family since his father passed away quite awhile ago.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. 😉
One point the topic shifts to romance. Dale the Army Ranger (whom I had introduced to the group a month ago, same weekend I introduced Jesse to Dave's beautiful daughter Sarah) starts laughing and says, "Probably take Bobby a good five minutes to get it up". *Now everybody's laughing* My "and an hour or more to get it down" reply literally brought the house down. lol

Only disappointment was that Barry (#2 ranked ping pong ace) is still missing in action. Expected his return from his oceanfront summer home this weekend. Insider poop has it that he's fallen in love again for the first time with a corporate executive (the quintessence of feminine pulchritude) born in Norway. Maybe one or both of them will show up today. Later...
