My pent up introspective wish is that, every time I take my wife to a new Shiaolan belt level, she wouldn't get that last dig in the bollocks to show me she has learned the moves, when I unwittingly assume she has anyway! 😉

Six weeks ago Dave's wife, Jan, asked me to teach her the basics of chess so that she would be able to begin teaching the noble game to her toddler grandson, Thai. After three brief sessions she now proudly knows board corner white square to the right, queens on their own colors, names and relative values of the six pieces, how they may move, en passant and promotion.
