i agree. although i've never *hung out* with him (i mean, can you *hang out* over the internet? is there any way of being above the internet to hang out over it? it just doesn't seem physically possible.) he has some good points (at the time, i agreed with his original thread. the forums have clamed down though...😛) but the "seal" thing? and his constant "love your neighbour"? they're just annoying. lead by example, not by telling people.

so, i'm off to petrol bomb a government building in a bid to free scotland from her english oppressors. anyone wanna come watch? we'll teach them that the past tense of 'jump' is 'jamp' yet! jumped? pha!

i could petrol bomb your house too if you want? it could be my cry for help in a world that just doesn't seem to understand me, a poor, prepubescent 19-year-old with pyromaniac tendancies and a new-found love/hate relationship with eggs, bacon and rolls.

but only if you want.

You should send that to the "Gesellschaft zur Stärkung der Verben" (association for the strengthening of verbs). http://www.soviseau.de/verben/en.htm

A stubborn-but-wrong teacher is really annoying. Arky has a good story about one of those regarding probabilities.
My music teacher in primary school had a different strategy, he simply denied that he had said those things (and in one case he insisted he was right, which he wasn't).

I think a teacher should be willing to set an example, and entertain the possibility that he might be wrong. Otherwise, what kind of message do the students receive?

Making sure my policy is up to date and then off to shave my legs. Insurance money and hunky fire fighters. This could be a good day. 😀
