@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou should have thought about that before your squabbling.
I'm only half way through my evening crumpets.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThe damage that words can cause is inestimable. Medicines come in all types.
Context please. Who was it said to and was it said in jest or malice?
Also, have you ever said anything similar?
In the character of a physician, here is some of my pompous pith, which is not really mine. Those who have taken some of the medicine I'm about to prescribe will understand my prescription, which should be taken literally, daily, until further notice.
Wishing, then, to speak truly in future concerning the generation of the gods, I pray him to give me knowledge, which of all medicines is the most perfect and best.

True about the brain cells, same thing happens if you have a stroke or seizures. Did you know that? Be careful what you say, they claim words can hurt, although I've never experienced it first hand. 😛
Thank the gooster for giving you A green thumb! 🙂

@pettytalk saidActually the OP is a pretty good fellow once you get to know him. 🙂
And where is the one who started this thread? He surely can relate to what he meant by the title. They say one cannot judge a book by its cover. Oddly enough, the title is typically on the cover, somewhere.

@very-rusty saidYou're going too far now, thanking our strange 'friend.' In his little head, he views green as a sign of envy. What he really meant, in giving the green thumb, is that he wished he was the one who should have come up with the insult. Apparently T G has a slightly larger head, speaking of head sizes.
