Tube costs around £5 and takes 45 minutes+, Express takes about 2Ominutes and costs under £15. Taxi costs an arm and a leg [£5O???]

So yeah, the tubes cheapest.

Add to that the cost of a travelcard if you need to go anywhere else on that day and you're talking £20 minimum.

Would anyone who'd had the presence of mind to save a link to the venue please put it up.

Heading into Paddington on the train, and I remember that I'd figured out it was comfortably within walking distance of the station. Just been looking at the train times back, and it's almost a shock to me that public transport can run after 11pm.

Haha, I'm a poor non-sub.

Presumably we are not barred from this in the usual way.

As you can see, it's just round the corner from Paddington station.

You're talking a Zone 1 day travelcard, £4.60 I believe, and Heathrow Express is between £12 and £13, so you're actually talking £17.60 maximum.

Heathrow express is stupid though, unless an extra half hour is worth £9 to you.

w00t, I might be the participant living closest to the venue!

Wow. That's nice. You'll be able to get there first and order the first round of drinks. 😛
