Oh well.....
whats next?
As an example, as you know I bowl. I have a friend that works at the bowling alley. He sells me one of his old balls. It is a very high quality ball and is hardly used. I could never afford to but this ball new (it's like $300), but he sells it to me for $40. I use the ball and win more at competitions (profiting from my investment).
My friend that sold me the ball is having a big party (say 50 people or so). Another person we both know works for a restaurant. He pulls some strings and gets some great food for the party at a fraction of what it would have cost.
The restaurant friend has a family member on thier death bed and a lot of family is coming into town to pay respects. I give his family rooms for free at my hotel.
Everyones life just got a little easier because we bothered to care about each other.

Honestly, I am dirt poor. So are most of the people I know. Fortunately, we don't have to live in squander so much because of how we help each other. If I ever miss the bus, I know my buddy that drives the taxi will give me a ride at a special "poor boy" price. Just like he has people that help him out. Truly, my life would be MUCH more difficult if just a few of the people I know didn't care about me liek they do. The funniest part of it is that they would probably have a much harder time too. I guess the moral of the story is, "If you don't have money, you better have friends." π

well-going by the dead whore story...:p
Taught me a lesson about working at roach motels (even if it is only as a fill in). Never again. Once was QUITE enough for me. (wouldn't be as bad if had been a RECENT murder) π
The funniest thing to me about it is that while I was moonlighting at the roach hole, my REAL job was at a four star resort. π
