Originally posted by CFCits just kind of annoying, you can type it how ever you like, but its just nicer and easyer to read if you dont use the IM style of writeing, I use that kind on IM's but not in fourms.
I seriously can't be bothered. Anyway it's called text writing.
but then again its your choice

By the first book, do you mean "The Fellowship of The Ring" or "The Hobbit" ?
Originally posted by OmnislashI read the Hobbit to but thats not part of the Lord of the Rings (has the same people and stuff but its not part of it) so I was talking about the Followship.

I would go to but not that many would sit thru that..
Originally posted by UncleAdamI still consider the Hobbit to be part of it, but I know it's not "technically" part of the "trilogy". I presumed as much that you meant the fellowship, but I thought I had better make sure.

Now, since you've read the fellowship, I have to ask......
Don't you wish they had Tom Bombadil in there? (I think that was his name) I was really looking forward to them putting some bizzarre guy with bright rainbow clothing and shouting inane little diddys about nature and himself. But, I think it is obvious why they didn't. Hard to keep the "drama" felling when you have a big hippy running around like that , eh? π
I know what you mean. They movie makers have to make it for the "not-quite-as-die-hard" fan as well. I felt the same way about the many movies (or attempts I should say) about the book Dune (which if you haven't read, you should).
Originally posted by OmnislashTom would have been neat in it.....but your right it would have made the movie seem kind of strange to people who never read the book (yes there are people who haventπ)

I think they should have made a hobbit and simillron (spelling?) movie to.
I have Dune somewhere but havent read it yet....I have a pile of books to read (they are not being forced on me, I like to read)
next on my list is the other 2 LOTR's books
and Rocket Boys (the book that inspired the film October Sky) and Sky of Stone (The Sequle to Rocket Boys)
