Need I say more?
I usually take the list of Oscar-winning films as my personal list of not-to-waste-my-money-on-going-to-see-that-crap films.
Having said that, there is a difference between the "classic" Oscar-type films and the less-likely ones.
Many is the time I have gone to see a film and thought "That was such tripe, it HAS to win an Oscar".
For example, Schindler's List and Titanic, to name but two.
I saw Gladiator and Return of the King and thought they were great.
I was very surprised that either of them got nominated, let alone picked up the metalwork.
Cinema's a funny old game.
Originally posted by martin williamsI saw this movie first with the voiceover from Ford, and I was used to that. After atching it w/o the narration I did'nt think the film lacked, but because I knew the film with the narration, I kind of missed it.
It was Blade Runner's flaws that made it so good.
That's why the Director's Cut (not made by the director) was so poor.
