I have written some code that instantly alerts me to when "Dive" posts a dumb-ass comment, so I can stop everything and find an internet enabled PC so I can respond.

He cannot be allowed to get away with it.

Either:

A. When one of the users makes a post it strengthens the sense of community between them and the other hardy users that have weathered the storm and still make contributions to the thread. These users then gain a sense of pride from their combined social interactions creating and continuing the heritage of such a long-lasting thread. Then, as none of them want to be the one to break the cycle, they site like old friends reminiscing late into the night as they stoke a dying campfire.

B. They're too stupid/ignorant to accept that this particular turd can't be polished.
