Except at home against Celtic! And no I am not a Scottish football supporter, rather an Englishman living/working in Scotland. My wife is an Aberdeen fan (her home town) and I support the boring defencive team that goes under the name of Birmingham City.
I love watching football but I find the SPL a bit too one-sided. Whenever the Old Firm play they seem too intent on kicking each other and only occassionally does football break out.
Scottish football is suffering. The SPL need to relax the rules on the size of grounds because last year Falkirk fully deserved promotion yet needed a 10,000 seater stadium that they would hardly ever fill. Partick only have an average crowd of 3,000 and it nearly bankrupted Motherwell building their ground.
Add to this there seems to be a reliance on importing third rate Scandinavian players (no insult intended Henrik) and ignoring breeding home-grown talent; and this is something that English football will need to be aware of as well.
Controversial I know but it is only my opinion. I would love to see Scotland produce more talent because I used to watch players like Bremner, Dalglish, Law and Gray. These days I would struggle to name any Scottish player in a world top 50.
Come on SFA/SPL take a good look around you and get it sorted otherwise your league will sink without trace in 5 years time.

From an outsider's perspective (born in Scotland but lived in Wales and England for the last 17 years since I was 5) I've read some good stuff recently on the decline of Scottish football, looking at not just lack of investment but also the social and cultural changes in Scotland since the halcyon days of Dalglish, Bremner, Souness etc.

As for the league set up, as you say, it's not rosy. It's hard to see anyone outside of the Old Firm being able to make a sustained challenge. Don't know a great deal about Scottish football but was Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen in the 80s the last time a serious challenge was made?
Unfortunately, even if Rangers and Celtic were to join the English game I'd imagine it's almost certain that a large amount of television money would disappear overnight out of the Scottish game. Perhaps though it would help to level the playing field and lead to longer term sustainabilty and re-emphasis on homegrown talent. Dunno to be honest, but I'd LOVE to see Scotland succeed at a country level. Their fans bring a lot to any major championship.

its not two legs its a group 3pts for our win at ibrox 1pnt for our draw at old trafford if they are lucky enough to get a draw.😉
