I've decided, as you will understand when I post the entries for round 2, that I'll keep the subject/topic completely OPEN, you may write about anything you want.

Occasionally I shall put some weird subject out there for a extra special prose competition.

Please send your entries whenever they are ready. I have four entries for round 2, I'll post ...[text shortened]... he fifth one, and if I receive any more then those will just get slotted in with the next batch.
Then voting should be suspended until all pieces are up, or the first to post will have the advantage.

No worries, I'll only post when I have five entries, and I'll post all five at the same time, in the order that I originally received them.

Current update of the scores:

1. FIRE IN THE BELLY: 82

2. Good Vibrations: 55

3. Untitled: 51

4. Odd Codefloss’s Adventures In And Around Clare Vandenburg’s Tricuspid Valve (extract): 16

5. Disquietude and Deliverance: 16

Total voters: 22

Is that the final score, or is it still open until the end of today?

Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I'm flattered and happy that you enjoyed it so much 🙂

Good luck in the next round to those who are taking part, I shall be sitting out, but I'll be back in round three.

Now that the voting is done, do we get to find out who all the authors were?

Nope. Only the winner is announced. The rest remain anonymous.

Why? What is the rationale for that?

That was brilliant Starrman...
Spent a lot of childhood school holidays racing around the underground with my cousin (good old double rover passes)... it's how we felt when we were younger..
Too old to contemplate London now..lol

Even more belated congrats - nice one Starrman.

Hopscotch, are we having a theme for part 3? If so, can we have it soonish so we can have entries ready when part 2 is over?

The way I see it is that general prose entries will always be welcome, and aside to the prose competition I shall run a theme based competition. I haven't decided on a theme yet, so entries are still open-topic.

I've already received one entry for the Red Hot Pawn Prose Competition 3.
