I think I would have to vote for no raisins also.

There is something wierd about cooked raisins, they are just wrong.

Rice pudding was one of my favourite dishes when I was a kid. Made from scratch, of course, but not with raisins! That's just sick! I haven't seen rice pudding with raisins here in Norway either. Your Nana was probably thrown out of the country for this outrageous behaviour.
