@very-rusty saidDoes this mean you'll stop talking about it?
Just an excuse to drink in my humble opinion.
No one really cares how angry you get Suzie Q! Really!!! 😉

@great-big-stees saidNo idea what it is, Stees. Card game??
OK. Who's up for a game of Crokinole? I hadn't played it for decades and as I was leaving the Tavern, after my shift, I passed by the Goodwill store and noticed a game in the window. It brought back fond memories from my youth and I went in a bought it.
@earl-of-trumps saidHow about some of you learning to play canasta - we need to be four players to make it fun. How about it, eh, eh?
No idea what it is, Stees. Card game??
@hells-caretaker saidIt's a fun card game. Some basic rules, then experience and intuition add to the skill.
Ace game...I'm in.
@earl-of-trumps saidIt's kinda like shuffleboard or curling but at a table. Best to google it to get a real understanding. My explanation would not do it justice.

torunn, count me in too. Another game I played many years ago.
@great-big-stees saidThe game you mentioned is quite fun, we need to be a few of course - the more the merrier on those occasions. Canasta is not quite as social but fun rules and two decks of cards.

@very-rusty saidFriends are always true, if not, they are no friends.

When I use the Swedish word for friend - vän - it becomes clearer. You can't have a bad 'vän'.
@great-big-stees saidSwedish has two words for friend - the neutral word 'vän' and 'väninna' which is a female friend. The word used nowadays is 'vän'. To me, 'vän' is a loyal, supportive person, whereas 'väninna' doesn't carry the same weight and marks a distance.
Friends come in many degrees.
