@torunn saidExcuse me torunn but we do serve a drink called the Pink Cougar. The name/colour is actually, in my opinion, a misnomer as it’s actually greenish.🤔
Well Rusty, this ain't that kind of place. 🙂
@great-big-stees saidI'll have a lager. There was a thread called alcohol, but it seemed to be alcohol free. Definitely nothing green though.

@relentless-red saidHere you are sir. Be here on March 17th and your lager will have a greenish hue. Care for an Eccles Cake?

@great-big-stees saidI once worked in Eccles, but not a fan of the cakes.

No need to wait for St Patrick's day to see lager turned green. It's just natures way.
@relentless-red saidActually I note that the Eccles Cakes have a wee bit of green on them. Seems they’re not a popular item here or needed to be kept in a safer place.😲

@great-big-stees saidThanks Stees, but the 'Cougar' we were talking about had nothing to do with drinks. 🙂

EDIT: I suppose drinking may be involved, so you may be party correct on that one.

@very-rusty saidAnd I repeat: no cougar in this place other than your imagination.

@very-rusty saidThat's true, but we keep our fantasies to ourselves. 🙂
It is a fantasy Tavern, as you reminded me previously, it doesn't have to be real! 😉

@torunn saidHmm, well that explains why the elevator to the secret fantasy dungeon is only reachable through a particular sequence of secret passages and hidden chambers.

(Don't worry -- the attendant informed me very firmly that the dungeon was not meant for casual visitors and sightseers.)
As for the job offer, I would still be interested in working here, but only doing simple stuff, and maybe only a few days a month. Plus it should be with Stees' agreement as well.
I should mention that I have meanwhile had a couple of surprise job offers from Prague and Tokyo (occasional contract work, which is all I can say because of NDAs), so I would like to keep my schedule here flexible if possible.
@kevin-eleven saidWe are currently vetting your CV and have come across a couple of “anomalies”. We ask that you arrange an in person tête-à-tête, at your convenience of course.

@great-big-stees saidAn interesting request, considering I am only applying for what I understand to be a busboy position with some related custodial duties and the occasional escorting out of an unruly customer, with no pay, group insurance plan, or other benefits.

Nevertheless, I know a very nice bookstore and tea shop with old-world charm about 20 km from Checkpoint Charlie. It has a long history of being a neutral meeting ground for much more highly charged matters.
Meet you there sometime next week?
@kevin-eleven saidThat would suit us too, I believe. Many of our regulars like to help out, they feel like part of the family, so to speak, so your assistance would only have to be temporary. Stees will let you in on the details.

@kevin-eleven saidYou end up in the woodshed.

@the-gravedigger saidIs that what they lead to...? I have never managed to find my way through these passages.
