@gambrel saidMy apologies your correct. After Rfc8 check the white king takes on d6 then you have Bf8 mate.
Move 20? What do you see? The black K has Kxd6 for an escape square.
I liked the game because analysis gave me a rare ( for me ) !!
I get them often. But within my known opening variations.
It wouldn't be the first time I missed mate in 1 though
@great-big-stees saidIts my fault hitting the sauce heavily with cookie.
On the subject of “deepness”. I am finding that I am having to dig deep into my investments to keep up with the tavern’s mounting expenses. Is anyone able to give me some “bridge financing” for about a month?🤔😲😉
How much do you need ?
@the-gravedigger saidVery kind of you, Gravedigger - Stees is a frugal man, he says, and when he spends a lot of money, something usually goes wrong. Too much, sort of. I have a piggy-bank in the basement, rather big one, just-in-case money.

@the-gravedigger saidNo apologies needed good sir knight. Your variation inmates two moves faster. I missed a few quicker attacks. Live and learn.

Example
15. Qxb2? (Question mark engine)
15. b5+! and white keep the attack. I looked at it BUT I didn't want white to have The a file for escaping, AND in my initial braining the combination when it began Qxb2 was the point, I won back the piece and seemed to have an extra pawn. That was the worst case scenario. I did see a possible king hunt driving him into my camp.
@torunn saidThank you Torunn.

Before financing the Tavern Stees had a reputation of throwing his money around like a Scotsman with no arms. 😁
@the-gravedigger saidI was known as Phil N Thropic, in another iteration.🤔😲
Thank you Torunn.

@great-big-stees saidNow that I have mentioned my piggy-bank I want you to know that I keep an eye on it.

@torunn saidCook did say he had found a large porcelain swine in the basement stuffed full of 1000 Krona notes. Later I saw him looking at a holiday brochure for Stockholm.

@the-gravedigger saidI have always felt he is up to no good. I will count every single krona and make sure he returns every one of them. His passport will be confiscated. Stees won't like it.

@earl-of-trumps saidHe, chef, said that he was dating a Swede who had give him the money (Krona). I have hired a forensic accountant to look into the alleged wrongdoing. Should they determine that there was, indeed, some illegal “issues” chef will be given his walking papers and charges will be laid.😲👍
Sounds like Stees has been busted - Ha!
@great-big-stees saidAs long as we get our money back. We will all try to cover the temporary difficulties.

I think he has fallen under her spell.
@the-gravedigger saidYou well be onto something. He showed me pictures of her and she had an uncanny resemblance to Ingrid Bergman, my all time favourite actress and really not hard to look at either.👍😁

@great-big-stees saidSpeaking of Ingrid, I hope it's a name we will see more of, it's a lovely name.
