Nobody is willing to be the guy to say "no more" because of the fear of being called a racist.
We have too many from India/Middle East/Africa.
It's a nice change to see some other types of immigrants for a change.
Ontario gets most of them so I think you "Willy Nilly's" in the maritime provinces will be fine. 🙄

Compare the size of Ontario with that of Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland, all put together. You could throw in New Brunswick and Ontario would still be bigger in size.
We are doing more than our share which is the reason we are squeezed so hard with our Medicare and housing which has to be taken into consideration when excepting immigrants. As far as Racism, you'll find that to a degree in every Province I am sure. Keep in mind the Racism can work both ways.
