I remember you trying to crawl up my ass every time I said something like this to Rusty.

Physician, heal thyself.
LOL....I loved that one! πŸ™‚

Sheldon, the ultimate stupid Hollywood writer's idea of a clever person. I can't stand that show.
The show is not to everyone’s taste, and some of the characters can be irritating.

I don't think that is quite the case. I was trying to teach a physics Professor how to play chess and he just couldn't get it.

Are you sure it wasn't the physics professor trying to teach you physics ??

There has been a lot of posting on this. Be a real shame if you got this backwards. πŸ˜•

You may want to leave the bantering to the rest of us and concentrate as a fair Clan Leader on trying to make fair challenges and not lopsided ones in your favor. πŸ™‚ But thanks for your contribution to this thread. πŸ™‚ VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! πŸ™‚

LOL....Love when it strikes a nerve! πŸ™‚

I am sure you remember the one you sent my Clan Leader we may have won two of them and you had the rest and the Clan Challenge. He asked me what I thought of your match up as I knew the Players involved true ratings better than he did. We have noticed you haven't sent any more since not getting away with that one.

Now what the rest of the clan leaders do with challenges you send that are in your favor is completely their own decisions. If they want to feed you points nothing I can do about or anyone for that matter. It is perfectly legit according to the rules, but does ruin the spirit of the game.

Of course everyone tries to get a bit of an edge but you try to get a landslide!

"You took four years to get through high school?!" --Sheldon (to Penny).

I was bored to tears in HS. Incredibly, in retrospect, the school let us (the computer science students) have unfettered access to the school mainframe computer. All of the school records were on there. There were no passwords. We could feed in any self-written program (IBM punch cards in tho ...[text shortened]... think that was a masterly performance, worthy of early graduation, if not a valedictorian's speech.
Best thing I ever read!!!! I remember mainframe. But what you did? I wish I knew you back then. lol lol Well done.

Being smart has nothing to being a good or great chess player. Zero...

My buddy who is a CEO of a company had an IQ of 178 which is either two points short of Einstein's or equal to. I may be wrong here I did not look that up again.

Anyway, he had been my best friend for over 30 years and never beat me one game.

And yes, I know I stink at chess. But I enjoy it. My friend is an expert in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and anything to do with English.

Back in the day we had the SAT's and we also had the ACT's. The ACT's you could choose what ever subject you wanted and a perfect score would be 800.

800 Math
800 chem
800 Physics
780 English

And some others he chose. All 800's except English.

Sat's he took in 7th grade he scored 1350. High School Sat's he got a 1580 almost perfect and he did that hung over and no sleep.

My point? He just could never beat me at chess. And I am horrible at it.

Intelligence has nothing to do with how great at chess you are. I've seen people who were not that bright do really well on the board.

πŸ˜† this makes two hard to believe stories
how many games did you play?
did this super intelligent guy play anyone else?
how did he learn the game?

If you don't believe it that is your issue, deal with it!

Perhaps you could try teaching your pal some chess? πŸ™‚
