@divegeester

I wouldn't be able to find any specific threads, they are so far back in time - I just remember the joy I felt reading them.

The most recent I can think of is the Tavern - it was fun for quite a while.

Well I’m sure it was in a large part down to your tractile uplifting alacrity.

It was a thread where some of us enjoyed spending time now and then.
And this is how it started:
"fine spirits and conversation
Yours Truly at your service
happy days are here again
cheers!
bongs available"

And we had fun.

I think this may have partly been due to the fact that I refrained from posting on it.

Yes, it was good, Torunn. Lots of friendly, engaging spirits.

Maybe someday again. 😉

This reminds me of John Cleese somehow.

As much fun as the word association thread?

We both know nothing can compare to that... No, the Tavern was a thread like no other, a place of its own where we enjoyed being. 🙂
The Last Word Sentence could be fun too when we put some effort into it.

It's up to ourselves really.

All threads in the public forums eventually run their course.

Maybe the private clubs you are in, with all those multiple ongoing active vibrant threads with many like-minded posters, is more the place which would reflect the kind of controlled environment you might be looking for.

Gosh, both posts thumbed down within seconds.

That feels like anonymous ‘unfriendly, disengaging dispiritedness’.
