that's exactly the kind of thing that Nirvana were put on Earth to destroy...along with GNR, Poison, Def Leppard and other 80s hair metal bands...😕

Van Halen, Deep Purple, The Rolling Bones??? What are you guys, all seniors? I mentioned the best live act TODAY, not 20 to 40 years ago. Please. I've seen the Stones twice, once they were pretty good, the second time i fell asleep. And David Lee Roth can't sing live.

Download or buy some Electric Wizard: 'Dopethrone' or 'Let Us Prey', for example - those you mention will never seem heavy again...

I'm shocked.

I thought it was a done deal: Bruce Springsteen and E-street band are the best live act around.

I thought everyone knew that!

Sorry, but you are all wrong. Hands down the best rock and roll band still performing today is moe.

EDIT: P.S: Nirvana sucks.

you mean the bartender from the Simpson's? i know he sang with Aeosmith once, but i didn't know his musical career had blossomed from there...

BTW, Player: i'm very curious about your anti-Nirvana, anti-grunge stance. is it the music, Kurt's suicide, the (anti-)fashion, or something else?

I just don't like the music. I personally find it depressing and boring. And Kurt was a bad guitarist. And Dave Grohl is a bad drummer. But, you know; that's just my opinion.

Bauhaus passed through Dallas on a reunion tour a few years ago, and that ranks as the best live show I've seen to date...completely awesome! I've seen many, many shows, too....

I'm a 35-year-old with deep 80s alternative roots, though, so what do I know? Teach me! ;-)
