What's the worst country you have been to?
This is relative to your own, obviously.
Untapped country that has a great opportunity to invest in and rape financially, totally disgusting country, disrespectful country, scary country with unsavourable laws?
All are applicable.
I just visited Laos, again, for 3 days. It has massive untapped resources and yet the government is mainly controlled and financed by Vietnam. The business opportunites for investing in construction pay a western in vestor handsomely, at least 11% PROFIT per annum pilus investment returns in full per annum. Roads, buildings, even police stations - all approved but no cash available from within.
Would you invest in Mexico? Columbia? England? US?
I think not.
Laos? I am investing, after my trip...... anybody interested? 😉

Originally posted by mikelomI visited Laos when it was illegal to do so! I visited the town of Takek, if I spelled that right. French architecture, beautiful little town, lots of gambling. My gf was robbed by a cab driver there. She was ok though. Very different from Thailand, at least around the Mekong. I lived in Nakom Phenom, right on the Mekong.

I don't think of either country as bad. I guess the worse place I went to was Gaza, that was bad. Israeli's took almost all the water, left the dregs for the Palestinians. I say that knowing I have great friends on both sides of the fence.
I lived in Israel for 3 years. Got shot at by a terrorist, he missed. But I would not call Israel a bad place, except for the constant fighting.
I would call the border towns on the north of Mexico the worse place I have been.
Quarter million killed by the cartels, that is very bad. Ten people a week in small towns getting killed. Inhuman.

I'm living in it 😕
I haven't been there, but ...lets just say it's the worst country.
The worst one I've been to was Yugoslavia,(before the split) ,although this was prolly coloured badly by the weather, some rude people, and a very scary landing on an icy runway//
Originally posted by karoly aczelI live in N. Ireland, it rots my brain. And the climate is going to kill me, I've been wearing a scarf the last few days and it's not even winter yet. 😞

Or perhaps you are stating fact: N.Ireland is much crapper than the U.S.
Is it,panel?
