I make a weekly radio programme in the UK that mixes short stories written by listeners and friends of the show with non-mainstream music. Having made a "Christmas Show" [going out tonight, come to think of it], we're going to make several themed shows in 2021.
Any suggestions for themes for short story collections?
Through the eyes of a dog.
Through the eyes of a cat.
Your funeral but your the dead guy.
(It should be funny)
Disposing of a body but running into a plethora of complications.
(It should be funny and maybe it's your friend who you got drunk with and when you are about done burying him he wakes up)
Strip club visit and it's your daughter on stage.
Escort/Prostitute call and it's your wife.
You kill your neighbors pet by accident or on purpose and try to replace it.
You meet your fiance's parents for the first time and everything is going perfect but you massively clog the toilet and turds keep coming out all over the floor like a turd demon from hell.
You fall down the stairs at work and you assure everyone you are fine but you can't stand up because you don't want them to know you crapped in your pants.
Plenty of short stories out there 🤔
Just be creative.
Everyone eh? 🤔
Allow me to access my "Everyone Files"....
Epically massive turds that are a war with the toilet but we always win that war...or die.
The reaction we all have when we enter a public toilet...
The group meeting and we all know someone farted but we WILL NOT show a reaction out of fear we will be blamed.
Thinking about how you could have done something in a situation to be the hero but you did nothing and it eats away at you.
The time you stole something.
Walking in the woods at night alone and you were scared shytless.
Cowardice.
Rage.
Fights.
Losing virginity.
How you are with someone but you instantly fell in love with someone else and you can't do anything about it.
@relentless-red saidWe are looking for themes that all 12 stories in a single edition of a show would have in common. See the OP.
A story about a guy from the radio who was such a hero that he decided to crusade against sealioning and trolling. He did it so well that over time others started to share his high opinion of himself. They even accepted that his regret about his hours of past sealioning was genuine.
