If so, it's probably not practical.

but, in reality? is there, do you think?

Do you mean something like this definition: confined to theory or speculation often in contrast to practical applications; existing only in theory?

Look at the following lists:

Synonyms: academic (also academical), conjectural, hypothetical, speculative, suppositional

Antonyms: actual, factual, real

With that as a basis I can think of 2 things that are theoretical only, gods and time travel. Tomorrow's evidence could change all that. 😀

no...

yer thread title limits all possibilities to the theoretical...
therefore, whatever it iz that yer working on, iz just that, theory...

in yer original post you ask, "is there such a thing?", speaking of a situation where theory is the only player on the stage...
this would require a "yes" answer...

then you ask "in reality?"...
this requiring a "no" answer...

now please tell me to go away...

The thing as such can't be theoretical, since it's very thingness is physical.

A thought as such can be however purely in ones imagination and thus theoretical, if however one does physically act on it it leaves the theoretical sphere and comes into parxis.

Anything else?

Bizarre indeed.

If not utterly pitiful.
