There ARE other Americans in Le Tour...

American Levy Leipheimer, who rides for Rabobank, is currently in
ninth place overall, while Massachusetts native Tyler Hamilton, riding
for CSC-Tiscali, is in 19th overall. Kevin Livingston, Bobby Julich, and
George Hincapie are all rather far back in the pack. But I wanted to
point out that there IS an American presence besides the gigantic one
of Mr Armstrong. Speaking of which-- Armstrong told the press that
he was frequently insulted by French fans during today's stage (which
was won by a Frenchman, by the way)-- now THAT'S class, folks,
hurling insults at athletes as they ride their bikes up mountains that
would have most of us puking our guts out before we got halfway up.
Unreal. People never cease to amaze me.
