@handyandy saidThe boring twenties they have not been (until now), but soaring or roaring would need a bit of specification.
They will be The Roaring Twenties,
or perhaps The Soaring Twenties,
but not, let us hope, The Boring Twenties.
@ponderable saidBoring twenties right? I wouldn't call 2020 boring by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps it will be the year we are finally going to see some change.

@caesar-salad saidThat is why it is probably best not to give a go at predictions unless they are silly ones, like mine about NOT finishing first killing a thread. Everyone including me knew that wasn't going to happen.
I had no idea this year would be so wild when I started this thread.

@ponderable saidWould this be a bad time to mention Trump? 😉
It is much easier to say what happened post factum

@very-rusty saidYou want to make any prediction? (it ahs already been mentioned that People expect him not to be president by 31st of December 2029. (and some thinking that the political System works pointed out that he will be out of Office by 2025 for sure)

@ponderable saidWell I think more along the lines of fall elections. Will Trump claim it was all fixed if he loses and refuse to step down? Will they make sure people can't vote in places he is not popular? Not really what people want to talk about but things that may happen.

@handyandy saidAfter the last four years, boring would be good.

@caesar-salad saidsoon "travel" to/from anywhere will be unnecessary
Is anyone else disappointed that aircars are turning out to be just giant drones with propellers, instead of having electrogravitic field generators?
And why are we still using rocket engines?
(Obviously I was spoiled by Star Trek at a young age.)
yer consciousness will "float" upon the ether to/from anywhere you wish to go/experience
the era of moving mass thru space/time will be moot as we will already BE where it is we wish to "be"
we will communicate with whomever wherever they may be
all that will be necessary is the melding of the mind
