Generally speaking women don't prefer dogs and men don't prefer cats. Of course I don't really know that to be true. I know I prefer dogs and many women who like to run prefer dogs for protection, but probably own a cat too. Men I believe just hate mice even more than than they dislike sweet little cats that smell bad and have CLAWS.

Women don't like to be asked unnecessary questions (there are some questions her man needn't ever ask).

Men don't like to see or hear or read of a woman ever being used as a punching bag by some bullying male.

I like the way dogs smell (their odor). Cats have an odor too, but I don't like or dislike it. Dogs are more like children because of the attention they need, but cats can take care of themselves... so as much as I like dogs I'd rather have a cat for a pet.
