Q. Why do over ripe plums taste like melon?
A, That is a leading question - they do not.

A: This morning when I woke up and yet I can't get the terribly vivid ~ and utterly non-representative ~ dream out of my head.

Q: Did you have a set of rarely used Royal Albert china cups, saucers and teapot kept in a glass-doored cupboard in the living room when you were a kid?

A. Yes. My mother-in-law until recently had her "best crystal"
gathering dust in a cupboard - wedding present! She said they
were too good to use. After ridiculing that idea she got them
out the following Sunday and we chipped one. 😞

A: Good grief. I feel as if this question is addressed directly to me. And I do wonder why you would single me out. Gardening? As I said, good grief.

Q: Why do cats sleep so much when they so often seem to actually do very little?

A. Probably best to ask the "cats" people who will then get back to your people post haste.

Q. Why?

A. Most carnivores do. The poor herbivores stay awake for 23 hours munching.

A: Children's spoons. Sometimes forks, or even fingers.

Q: Why are 'plain' crisps (US: potato chips) the most popular flavour?

A. Crisp flavour selection is a paradigm of how we all live our lives. There will be days when we are in the mood for something different, a prawn cocktail or a barbecued beef, but we couldn't handle those 'flavours' every day, when for the most part, life requires something plain and manageable.

Q. What is the best way to shake a cold?

A: This issue will be moot if the UK votes to extract itself from the grip of Europe's pedantic rules and regulations.

Q: Why was North Korea's 'dog bites man' announcement that it was ready to use nuclear weapons at any time seen as controversial when all nations that own nuclear weapons ~ according to the logic of deterrence ~ must essentially take exactly the same stance about the possible use of the weapons they have?
