    "Think Before You Ink"

What advice would you give to a Red Hot Pawn Public Forum Noobie?

    1. Think before you ink. 2. Review your text before clicking [Post]. 3. If you've screwed up, utilize the [Edit]
feature within the next 30 minutes before your words are locked in cyberspace cement for posterity.

    4. Postscript: Rest easy if and when your words result in Thumbs Down from those too timid to express their disapproval of your views.

When I was at college, a gust of wind once sucked my almost finished essay out of the open window of my digs and deposited it in a hedge in my garden where a squall of heavy rain obliterated the handwritten text because (as I discovered) the ink I'd been using was not waterproof due to my carelessness in the stationary shop. And then as I ran across the lawn to retrieve it I found a drenched dog just about to eat it. I left the part about the dog out when I pleaded with my tutor because it seemed far-fetched. She gave me a 24 hour extension.

Hi, Noobie. Hope you've enjoyed reading the advice given for your benefit so far.
Here's an important one if you plan to contribute to RHP's Public Forums:

    14. Even if it you must go back to page one, always read the original post
before contributing your experience, knowledge and ideas to the thread.
Then, focus on the topic rather than on the site nickname we know as "you".
Doing so will help maintain the format integrity of the thread. Thanks,

    15. Be forewarned that Online Forum Bullies often attempt to harass Noobies:
Never stoop to their level by responding in kind; better yet, ignore them.
