TILMA is and agreement in Canada that will allow Corporations to sue municipal governmetns for impeding their profits. This gives them power to shape public policy.

I'm surprised this isn't law in the United States. After all, Free Enterprise is practically our State Religion.

I am sure there are already laws like this in the US. This is a part of a broader agenda to harmonize regulations between Canada and the US.
This is a continuing of a trend in Canada towards self-regulated corporations which have shown to be disastorous to public interests, health as well as the environment, but incredibly profitable.
Another example of how we have lost our direction in this civilization. Its not about profit. Its about living sustainably and in harmony with not only the environment, but one another.
I am engaging in a campaign in my community to bring alternatives into the public consciousness. I hope they take hold.

Uh, you should note that the CUPE logo at the top of the page is the logo for the largest union in Canada.

Not all of what is presented is accurate. Some of it is misleading. For instance, the provinces and federal government regulate greenhouse gases....not municipalities.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
