I have both "won' and "lost" games as a result of time outs.
I take the attitude that it's a swings and roundabouts situation - you
win some, you lose some.
I receive my fair share of challenges and (if it is not a player I know)
will always check out the profile ( if there is one) and the 'terms' ie 3,
14, 21 days etc. ( I also check the date they joined)
I have noticed that most 'stars' and regular players seem to use at
least 7 day T/O's (as I do ).
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that if the opponent is someone
you don't know, is it really that hard to do a quick check on the details.
When I can, I sit and play for hours, but no fresh game/challenge is
responded to until I check out the challenger.
To me, it doesn't seem too difficult to take 5 seconds to quickly check
the details.
Please guys, this post is not meant to be argumentative, but I can't
quite see the problem.
If I offered any one of you a second hand car surely you would check
it out before buying it.
Same with a challenge, I really don't believe there are many players
here who accept a challenge without checking out their opponent first,
ie via profile, DATE JOINED, no. of games in play, moves etc etc.
To finish, I am also one of those players who ALWAYS greets and will
delete a game if no response by the third move.
