You are missing the point, why carry Canadian flags and backpacks? They are Americans.

regardless of how much americans love their guns
they do not seem to enjoy being shot by a bullet from one of these guns
whether they own the gun or not
go figure, eh?

anyhow, to yer question of why they carry a canadian flag,
it's because the canadian flag is the universal flag of surrender and they know they prolly won't get shot even if they're asked politely to drink more tim horton's
