Ever had anything stolen? I lost a car and a purse from my son’s pushchair many years ago.

Guitar amplifier, immediately prior to a gig.

My shoes from outside my room on my wedding night.

A motorbike - I'd borrowed it from my sister. The thief was caught the next day but the bike had already been sold. He specialized in motorbikes. When he went to court, he asked for 95 other cases to be taken into consideration.

I am myopic, but don't think that shows.

The reasoning (of my hypothetical thumb-downer) goes thus: Woodgirl reports her purse stolen, I resent that, so I give a thumb down. Would I give a thumb up I would say: Well done thief.

Edit: That is if people ask you a question and give the negation in the same course:
It was fine, wasn't it? (A "Yes" is ambigious)

It's supposedly anonymous retribution from "the community". Ask Ponderable. He's a adamant supporter of this aspect of the website.
